Shared Repo is a browser extension that helps users view and manage their GitHub repositories in one place. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data.
Information We Collect
Shared Repo does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to external servers.
The extension may access the following information:
- GitHub repository data (via the GitHub API)
- Pull requests, issues, and activity related to your repositories
- Your GitHub username (implicitly via API usage)
Authentication Data
To access GitHub data, users may provide a GitHub Personal Access Token (PAT).
- This token is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API
- The token is never transmitted to any third-party server
- The token is only used to authenticate requests to the official GitHub API
How We Use Information
The accessed data is used solely to:
- Display your repositories
- Show repository activity (commits, pull requests, issues)
- Highlight items that may need your attention
No data is used for tracking, analytics, advertising, or profiling.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third parties.
All communication happens directly between your browser and the GitHub API.
Data Storage
- All data (including your GitHub token) is stored locally in your browser
- No data is stored on external servers

Shared Repo requests only the permissions it needs to function:

- Storing sensitive data locally only
